About Deep
Cove
Deep Cove Trading is a company known throughout New Zealand
and in many export markets for the superiority of its fresh, chilled
and frozen seafood. The company's main focus is customer satisfaction.
Our Christchurch plant is a unique facility specifically designed by the
Deep Cove Management Team to maximise both throughput and
recovery. The processing operation has been created to maximise
the cold chain from catching - landing processing right through
to freezing. Our plant operates 22 hours a day in shifts, seven
days a week depending on fish availability. The two main species
harvested and processed are red cod, which runs generally from December
to March, and hoki, from July to September, but with flexibility
being the key. The factory can process up to 25 different inshore
species in the same day.

operates a fleet of inshore fishing vessels and contracts independent
fisherman (both inshore and deep water) which increases both the
volume and variety of seafood's available.

operates a distribution centre in Christchurch delivering fresh
seafood throughout New Zealand, Australia daily.
- Deep Cove's
marketing office is based in Christchurch and their major export
markets for our chilled and frozen product are Australia, Japan,
USA, Asia and Europe. Our market team philosophy is to be flexible
enough to cater to all clients who have an interest in our high
quality product.
- The company has its
own fishing quota and has access to additional quota, through
long standing relationships with other quota holders.
